01. The Challenge and The Fundamental approaches

Our design approach combined a sense of warmth and unity with the flexibility to accommodate individual use for each home. The site featured significant elevation differences and several retaining walls, which made the landscape more complex and dynamic.

We created a design that respected these level changes while enhancing functionality—focusing on shared areas for family gatherings and interaction, alongside private garden zones that each sibling could enjoy on their own terms. This balance allowed the overall space to feel connected, yet personal.

Thanks to the warm, family-oriented atmosphere, we were able to comfortably include shared spaces like a pool. Our design aimed to be inclusive and accessible—making sure people of all ages and needs, including those using wheelchairs, could move freely and enjoy the space safely and comfortably.

02. The implementations and The Solution

Our goal in this project was to combine the client’s needs and preferences with the region’s climate, the site’s physical conditions, and our own experience and expertise—to create a sustainable and enjoyable landscape.

  • We created shared spaces such as pleasant walking paths and a poolside seating area designed for gatherings, celebrations, and family events. These features helped enhance the sense of community while making the outdoor space more lively and functional.
  • We created walking paths that offer the feeling of being immersed in nature—bringing movement and calm together within the landscape.
  • To soften the harsh look of the retaining walls created by elevation changes, we used climbing and cascading plants both within and around the structures. These plantings helped reduce the visual impact of the concrete and brought a more natural feel to the space.
  • The design was carefully planned to visually expand the gardens and create a sense of openness and flow.

03. The Result

Our design focused on functionality, sustainability, and comfort—ensuring that every homeowner could benefit from a beautiful and easy-to-care-for outdoor space.
