01. The Challenge and The Fundamental approaches

This project involved completely redesigning an old, outdated garden from scratch. The original house didn’t have a patio, so we also created a brand-new patio area—including a carefully planned connection from the interior to the garden. Our vision was to design a refined, elegant, and distinctive garden—one that moved away from the crowded, wild “jungle-style” plantings. Instead, we aimed for a clean, balanced design with character and simplicity. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to deliver not only a beautiful space, but also to clearly demonstrate the unique quality of our approach to the client.

02. The implementations and The Solution

We created an enjoyable and well-thought-out landscape design by considering every detail and the existing conditions of the garden.

• We completely redesigned an old garden with a new concept, preserving only the mature trees and shrubs.
• The house had no patio, so we created a brand-new one with direct access from the interior.
• We opened the area in front of the patio to give the feeling of a wide, open garden while seated.
• A clean lawn near the house helped the garden feel more spacious and airy.
• We designed the patio for year-round use, including the colder months.
• A large seating and dining area was added to host guests comfortably.
• An outdoor fireplace was included to add warmth and extend evening use.
• A custom galvanized divider separated lawn and planting, with LED lighting integrated.
• The garden design reflected the homeowner’s love for the sea with coastal-style furniture.
• Unique planter-style lights were used to support the design concept.
• The front entrance had a high staircase, so we carefully planned under-stair details.
• Wooden borders were added beside the stairs to resolve level differences in the front yard.
• We designed a fully functional irrigation system with smart zoning.

03. The Result

We also completed the implementation, turning it into a truly beautiful and functional garden. The homeowner—who enjoys spending most of their time outdoors—became not only a satisfied client, but also a close friend throughout the process. The garden is designed for ease of maintenance, with automated irrigation and lighting systems that can be fully controlled via smartphone. Whether day or night, in any season, it’s a comfortable and enjoyable space that invites use year-round.
