01. The Challenge and The Fundamental approaches

Our goal was to create a workplace garden that truly reflects who they are — a space that matches their reputation and impresses their clients, while also enhancing the quality of their work. We wanted to design an environment where people feel inspired, where working becomes more enjoyable, and where every detail supports pride in what they do.

  • The factory area is very large, and in the future, new buildings and additional facilities will be added section by section. This will be an evolving, long-term industrial landscape project. That important detail had to be one of the key principles of our design approach.
  • In our approach to designing landscape areas for workplaces, we believe that the landscape should never become a burden. Instead, it should enhance the beauty of the space, inspire a desire to work, and bring joy—not extra effort. That’s why we focus on creating functional, sustainable, low-maintenance, and cost-effective designs. With this principle in mind, we developed a landscape that supports the identity of the workplace while being easy to care for in the long run.
  • To support the long-term success of the project, we carefully selected plant species that are resilient and well-suited to the region’s challenging climate conditions. This ensures that the landscape remains healthy, attractive, and easy to maintain throughout the seasons.
  • In large open areas, a thoughtful and preventive approach was implemented to minimize the growth of unwanted weeds. This helps maintain the aesthetic quality of the landscape while reducing maintenance time and costs.
  • The irrigation system was designed with future growth in mind. It allows for easy extensions to support additional landscape areas as the site expands over time. This forward-thinking approach ensures flexibility and long-term efficiency.
  • Grass areas were kept to a minimum due to their high water demand and intensive maintenance requirements. Instead, more sustainable and practical ground covers were prioritized to reduce long-term upkeep and resource use.
  • Since the project is located in a workplace setting, the design was developed with a year-round aesthetic in mind. Plants and materials were carefully selected to ensure the landscape remains visually appealing through all four seasons, creating a pleasant environment every day of the year.
  • Given the high number of staff on site, shaded seating areas such as pergolas were thoughtfully integrated into the design. These spaces allow employees to enjoy the garden and fresh air during their breaks, promoting well-being and a stronger connection with nature throughout the workday.
  • A large portion of the site was designed to support the development of a future forested area. This green buffer was prioritized not only for its aesthetic contribution but also for its long-term ecological benefits—such as softening the local microclimate and enhancing the green landscape character of both the site and its surroundings over the years.
02. The implementations and The Solution

Each part of the site was carefully planned according to its specific function—such as the main entrance, parking areas, employee seating zones, woodland sections, shrub zones, building entrance, and factory access. Every zone was designed with purpose-appropriate, durable plant species, a functional layout, and a focus on maximizing visual impact. This thoughtful segmentation ensures that all spaces work together harmoniously while serving their individual roles effectively.

03. The Result

The landscape project was developed by carefully considering the needs and preferences of the business owners. As a result, a well-balanced, sustainable, low-maintenance, and impactful design was achieved. It was a collaborative effort that satisfied all parties involved—and ultimately, the project was brought to life just as envisioned.
